Thinking Maps - Training the Trainers (Two days)

What are Thinking Maps?

  • They are currently in use in many different kinds of learning community - schools, colleges, training agencies, universities - and the business world

Kestrel Education is the only organisation in the UK accredited and permitted to deliver Thinking Maps training.

Schools across the UK are now using the Thinking Maps and have undertaken whole-staff training in order to maximise their impact by embedding the Maps across the curriculum.

The 'gold standard' Thinking Maps training that Kestrel offers is a two day Training the Trainers course to all teachers interested in training their colleagues.

The course will cover the following:

  • Teach you how to use the Thinking Maps across the school curriculum
  • Show you how to introduce them to all students
  • Train you to train your colleagues

This course will be supported by two training manuals: the Thinking Maps Trainers Manual and the Language for Learning teachers' maunal.
 

  • Outcomes:
  • You will be registered as a Thinking Maps trainer
  • You will know how to use the Thinking Maps across the curriculum
  • You will be able to train your colleagues in your school or college
  • You will have developed an action plan to implement the Thinking Maps across your school/college

    Cost - £500 (this includes your own copy of the 'Training the Trainers' manual and Language for Learning teachers' manual).
