This course is approved by the Centre for Cognitive Education at the University of Exeter.

 This two day interactive workshop will equip the Thinking School Co-ordinator to introduce the concept of a Thinking School as a whole-school initiative, and lead development in a range of tools and strategies.

            Outcomes:
            Participants will:
  • Understand the why and how of teaching thinking
  • Know the dispositions, skills and understanding required to develop a Thinking School
  • Have been introduced to a range of cognitive tools, strategies and resources
  • Take away the knowledge, skills and understanding to create and implement a strategic plan for Thinking School recognition.
  • Be able to support their school on the Thinking School Journey
 
Who should attend?
Thinking School Co-ordinators in both Primary and Secondary phase.
 
Participants will receive a certificate recognising successful completion of the course.
